I grew up in Los Angeles with my mom, dad, and younger brother. I moved up to Santa Cruz in 2014 to attend college at UC Santa Cruz. In June of 2018 I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Education. At UCSC I took many courses in social and developmental psychology. In addition to the education I received at UCSC, I took courses at Pierce and Saddleback community colleges to further my knowledge and credentials for early childhood education. After going to school for four years, I fell in love with Santa Cruz and decided to stay here with my partner, Kyle.
I have been passionate about working with children since I was 9 years old and running summer camps out of my back yard. I have around 10 years of nannying experience, and I used to be a camp counselor over the summers. When I was a junior in college I began an internship at Coastal Community. I worked as an intern for several months, then became a substitute teacher, and then accepted a full time job as the PM teacher last year.
Outside of work some of my interests include going on hikes or walks, bike rides, yoga, reading, thrift shopping, making homemade candles/crafts, and keeping organized by making lots of lists and spreadsheets! I love exploring new restaurants, wineries, and places in Santa Cruz!
