Susan Paull – PM Teacher
I have worked with young children in a variety of settings over a number of years. More recently, I worked with First Five Monterey County as an on-site consultant in preschool classrooms to reflect with teachers about their work, help them development curriculum, and understand behaviors and the needs behind them. Also for First Five, I did Creative Materials workshops and wrote four manuals for teachers in using Clay, Wire, Drawing, and Paint.
I have a Master’s degree in Human Development with a Specialization in Art Education.
As a working artist paint is a primary medium with which I understand my world. Though I really enjoy sharing that with children, I have also been a Curriculum Consultant with First Five so am familiar with all curriculum areas for preschoolers. I also love STEM projects.
Developing strong relationships with children is what I see as the basis of my teaching.
During my free time, I paint, embroider, and make things in a variety of ways with different materials.
