This will be my fifth year in teaching preschool and I have been working with children in various capacities for 22 years. I am owner/director of “Miss Jonnie’s”, a licensed home child care and I run a summer “writing enrichment Program” for children entering kindergarten.

I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and several specialty certificates in the areas of Teaching, Curriculum Planning, Diversity, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Administration, Total Quality Management, and Communications.

I just competed the requirements for the California Site Supervisor Permit and am currently working on a Holistic Nutrition Certificate. I will be entering Pacific Oaks College in the fall of 2012 to complete my BA/MA in Human Development.

I consider myself to be a life long learner and will bring that joy of learning to the classroom. The children are my biggest heroes and inspiration as their innate sense of wonderment and “fascination for life” reminds me how to be every day.
